Caption: The northwest corner of Wells Cathedral at dusk. The smallest city in England, Wells derived it's name from the natural wells that supply water to the area from the nearby Mendip Hills. The oldest part of the cathedral dates back to 1180 although Christianity's link with Wells as a holy place dates back even further to the building of the first church in 705.
